Tasigna packaging has won awards. Even though people report broken pills when they try to open it.

They actually gave an award to a blister pack? Obviously they haven't tried to open a pack of immodium quickly.

i just started tasigna in sept. and i wonder if my pack is different from ya'll, mine is on a cardboard ,i can see them inclosed in plastic but on the back you just punch the little tab and peel it back and the pill falls out,

I tried this and it works much better. I first push through from behind then push from the front. I can't believe I never tried it this way.

I tried to rewrite the above paragraph so the immature members (me included) would not read other things into it but was unable. I just wanted to appoligize in advanced. And please no aboral comments. Let's keep it clean we do have younger folks here...

I believe the medical term is sharts. I heard Trey use it so it must be a medical term.

These arent Sharts (from the latin Aquas Poopoli)... at least I consider sharts to be where one HAS to change their underwear.  These are just moist farts that cause Greasy Cheeks.  Its all very scientific. B)

Depends on the stain count.  High stain count is sharts.  Low stain count is on a sliding scale from arid to high humidity combined with various levels of colonic pressure.  I assume you are addressing the "barometer buster" variety.  These are called cyclone farts (cyclarts).  Dense but low stain count.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

Tasigna taker here. It is working well on the CML so far. Was diagnosed in Oct 2014. It has trashed my thyroid but my endocrinologist seems to think we can manage it and stay on Tasigna. I hope so.

I take it 12 hours apart like clock work. Never late not even by a minute. 6am and 6 pm. OnC has said I can vary that a little bit but I am paranoid and too scared to try. I want maximum effect so I can someday maybe stop taking the drug or reduce dose like Trey and others.

I wish they would do away with the blister pack. I broke a pill open yesterday trying to get a pill out. Some of the medicine spilled out on my hand. I licked it up! Don't want to miss a single dose! This raises a question what do we do if we lose a pill? The thyroid makes me jittery and I dropped a pill. It of course rolled all the way under the bed. I was like all hands on deck! And we all raced to get the $400 pill!

Nice to revive the "Cyclarts" discussion.  Oldies but goodies....

I also should have discussed shwarts in response to Tee.  My mistake.

I've taken a couple of dropped pills that if they had not cost so much, I would not have taken them.  The five-second rule really applies with dropped TKIs.

Keratosis pilaris, bumpy skin
Thinner, finner hair
Headaches
Totally random muscle aches
Fatigue
And... brain fog, specifically aphasia
Great fun
