I was on Gleevec 3 years and now I am on Tasigna. Wow what a difference, My puffy eyes have gone down, no swelling in my ankles, I can feel my ankle bones... And least but not least I am having a normal bowel movement. Three years of diarrhea kept me close to home. My joints aren't even hurting.

I feel so much better in just 10 days. I see my onco doctor Friday the 13th. I have had 2 normal EKG and routine blood work. My PCR went up to 8% on Gleevec. I will probably get that checked in a couple of months.

I am so thankful for this site, you all keep us informed.

Very good news!  Hopefully your positive reaction will continue.  I have been on Tasigna for a little over 2 years and have had no severe side effects.  Even though Gleevec will be generic in the US shortly I have no desire to switch because of my positive results with Tasigina and the GI side effects of Gleevec.
