I have a question for Trey and everyone, I meet a lady at the cancer center today, she told me that she has Chronic Leukemia, diagnosed in December 2013, and that she was treated with six chemo injections and that she is fine and does not take Gleevec or any other pills. Does anyone know what type of cancer does she have? I really would like to know. Thanks.

She probably has CLL -- chronic lymphocytic leukemia. It is a different disease. There are 2 main types of chronic leukemia and two main types of acute leukemia, making four main types overall. There are a couple other rare specialty leukemias with other names.
