Lisa, I agree with Trey and mlk, if it were me I wouldn't take a break so soon I think the first three days were the worst for me.

My Sprycel headaches lasted about 2 weeks, though I started at half dose (at my request).  Hang in there.

Trey,
I spoke to a potential new dr at Sloan Kettering today. ( I think he is a keeper). He said same exact as you, on every point. Did not agree w my original onc hemotologist telling me to stop. My orig Dr told me migraine like hesdaches are not common Sloan onc said headaches can be brutal, similar to migraines - just be tough and tell them " bring it". I will restart tonight and do just that. Thanks.
It looks as if I will be switching doctors.

Note: dose lowered bc of side effects - not bc onc wanted to reduce dosage

Sprycel: Currently 50 mg per day - taken 10 pm

L&L,

Good for you.  Taking control over your own therapy is a wise decision.  You will get through it.  Ask the family to bear with it, too.

I think you will find that one day in the next week or so, you will realize that your head is not pounding. . .and then you will wonder when it stopped. . .and you will realize that you didn't even notice that the headaches were gone.  And you'll wonder how the heck you didn't even notice. . .

At least that's what happened to me.

Good luck,

Marnie
