after glivec fails..

Hi everybody!! As some of you know i had fácil glivec 4 months ago and changed to tasigna. Today i had an appointment and my doctor told me that there is a 50% to tasigna works. Is it right? AM i in a 50-50 situation? Thanks in advance

I would offer the following data after clinical trials:

"Twice as many patients achieved deeper molecular responses after switching to nilotinib vs staying on imatinib."

 

That implies you have about a 66% chance of success with Tasigna after switching from Gleevec.

Thank you só much, trey. I received my bma and it was all normal. No blasts , normal maturation. My CBC was fine also. Neutrophils in the normal range and finally my platelets are near 100k. Hope this is a good sign for a good PCR and cytogenetics. Cheers

That shows CCyR and also your trisomy 8 has disappeared, which is good.  It should be a good sign for better PCRs ahead.

Thanks, trey but i think thats not the case. I did not havê my cytogenetic result. Just the marrow count: basophils. Blasts etc etc
