Hi Lucas - I had the same while on Tasigna and after about 4 months I switched to Gleevec and the hair loss stopped. I read on here about others who found the hair loss eventually slowed or stopped, but I couldn't hang in long enough to find out if this would have been the case for me.

Im about a year in and Ive had pretty signifigant hair loss on my legs and a bit less on my stomach and chest.  I started losing my hair at 19 so its hard to tell what its done to my head... though I dont think its been too great if any.

Most of side effects of Gleevec are gone in a year, the only one left I have is a tightness in my stomach after taking it in the evening, it's gone in the morning.

There is no hair loss with Gleevec and it's going generic during mid 2015.

Diagnosed 3/2014 WBC 28 Non detectable within 3 monthsGleevec 400 mg 5/2014 one hour after dinner really improves nausea300 mg 12/15/2016200 mg and 300 mg Gleevec 2/25/2017 (after 3 years on Gleevec) For last four months taking 300 mg per day. Last CMC showed liver enzymes elevated, went to a good Naturopath and he recommended 4 Tumeric, 10,000 mg Vitamen D, and 3 milk thistle (silymarin) daily. Also use One<p>Day Detox Dandeloin tea, and Nettle Tea and a slice of ginger every day...in two months liver tests were below normal.Janis

I have been on Tasigna for about two and half years.  I do have a very noticeable hair loss on the top.  It seems slowing down a bit.

Thanks, guys. actually, it's not a great problem (well, i don't want to be bald, but this is not a big issue). i was on propecia (for hair loss) 'till my diagnose but i stopped to take it because i don't know if there's some interaction with the tkis. when i was on gleevec, my hair was ok, actually, was thicker, but now, on tasigna, it's falling too much. i think i'll have a hat for christmas :D

Lucas, just shave that sh*t and be done with it.  The chicks dig it.  And my lady is kinda liking the associated non-head hair loss... hubba hubba wikki wikki wang wang.

My doc is considering switching me from Gleevec to Tasigna.  While I'm elated at the notion that I won't have to shave my legs anymore, I'm a little frightened by the other comments.  How will my hubba hubba react to the wikki wikki wang wang?

Dx: Sudden severe anemia detected 07/2011, followed by WBC spike. CML Dx 02/2012.

Rx: 03/2012-Gleevec400.  Reduced 02/2013 to Gleevec300 due to side effects (low blood counts).

Response: PCR-Und within 7 mo. on G400. Maintained MMR4-MMR4.5 on G300. PCR-Und since 02/2016.

Seeing as though, as I said, Ive had male pattern baldness since my late teens, I dont know (cant tell) what the Tasigna is doing to my head.  I know that my legs are 90% bare and my chest is 50% more bare with what hair is there being much more fine and soft.

And I have no doubt your husband will not have a problem with any wikki wikki bang bang related hair loss.
