I've got a UTI that is not clearing up.  Has anyone had trouble with any of the antibiotics prescribed for this with Gleevec by any chance.

thanks in advance

Last CMC showed liver enzymes elevated, went to a good Naturopath and he recommended 4 Tumeric, 10,000 mg Vitamen D, and 3 milk thistle (silymarin) daily. Also use One<p>Day Detox Dandeloin tea, and Nettle Tea and a slice of ginger every day...in two months liver tests were below normal.Janis

I've had UTIs while on TKIs.  Because I'm allergic to penicillin, I take sulfa drugs.  I had no problems with them.  Good luck!  UTIs are a pain.

I had a run of UTIs on Sprycel. Generally they give you a broad spectrum antibiotic that will cover a multitude of bacteria. If it's not clearing up and they haven't done a culture to determine which bacteria might be resistant make sure they do one to determine what antibiotic, specifically, might work for your infection.

You can check on drugs.com for any interactions.

Good luck!
