Here's my most recent blood test. I also have an ulcer. My Bun is 23 which is high, my magnesium level is 1.6 low, my AST is 12 which is low; my rdw-cv is 14.9 high, my rdw-sd is 47.6 high, neutro auto abs 7.97 high. What does all this mean. Doc said I need to take 200 mg magnesium a day but didn't say anything about the other results.

Sandy - Dr. Cortes suggested I take 400 mg. Magnesium Citrate (not Oxide) per day to go along with the Sprycel. Big difference.

I take it just before bedtime for a really restful sleep. Look up Magnesium and sleep.

Diagnosed 11 May 2011 (100% FiSH, 155% PCR)

with b2a2 BCR-ABL fusion transcript coding for the 210kDa BCR-ABL protein

Sprycel: 20 mg per day - taken at lights out with Quercetin and/or Magnesium Taurate

6-8 grams Curcumin C3 complex.

2015 PCR: < 0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)

2016 PCR: < 0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)

March        2017 PCR:     0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)

June          2017 PCR:     "undetected"

Sandy,

Your results are not very far from normal, so docs tend to ignore minor variations (with good reason).  Your low AST is good.  Many would like to have that.  Scuba (Michael) had a good input about the magnesium citrate.

I started taking a liquid magnesium 300 mg and now my mag level is in the normal range. I chose liquid over pills cause I can't swallow them and I have irritable bowel so I think my body absorbs the liquid faster. I also bought some D3 chewable.
