I've had two tests (one recent and one almost a year ago) with slightly high prolactin: normal range 0-500 mlU/L, first test was 574, recent one was 670.
I had a whole lot of other hormones (FSH, LH, Oestradiol, progesterone) tested at the same time. The ones last year showed I was menopausal (disappointing but not too surprising at 40). Currently however the FSH etc show I'm not menopausal. So I guess that the high prolactin must be accounting for my menopausal symptoms. Thyroid has always been normal (TSH only).
Has anybody else had this?
Both my GP and my hematologist admit they don't know much about prolactin and tell me to ask my fertility specialist / gynecologist, who I wasn't planning to see for some time.
