Very promising. Like researchers have predicted in 2012 , is cure a cure possible by 2016 ?

Read about this a bit earlier, glad to see they are moving forward to trials.

Still pretty early to say, but this looks very promising.

"The study is designed as a Phase 1/2, randomized, dose-escalation study to assess the combination of BL-8040 with standard-of-care Imatinib for improving the response of CML patients in the first chronic phase of the disease who have achieved a less than optimal response with Imatinib alone."

I would think this could be used for patients with MRD as well, to get the remaining LSC`s out of hiding and finish them off, lets hope so!

Oh, by the way: Happy Easter to all

Teddy

Hi Cliffee,

Thank you for the information regarding BioLineRx phase 1/2 trial. I have a print out. I have CML. Is this going to be the REAL cure? Thanks Cliffee.

Happy Easter!

I hope so. Still a long way to go.

Just good to see them going for the stem cell itself.

I think that the cure will come in some sort of combo like this.

It is easy to kill leukemic stem cells.  The hard part is leaving the good blood cells alone.  The "promising" part must relate to the second more often than the first.  Who knows; maybe this will be useful as another step.
