anyone dealt with severe abdominal pain only to be told that it could be a herniated disc??? I was at the ER two nights ago and after xrays and CT scans with contrast, I was told that my spleen was not too enlarged. I am having some back issues, but I had no idea that it could cause such pain in the spleen area.

Diagnosed in September 2011. Tried one year of Sprycel. Had great response. Became undetectable in a few months. Changed to Tasigna hoping for less side effects. Self medicated myself down to 20% dose and held for 3 years before becoming detectable again. It has been a journey that has helped me realize what life is about! I am all about a balanced life. I firmly agree with my decision to lower my dose. What is life if you aren't living? Mine will never be the way it was, but it is going to be as good as I can make it! Drs PRACTICE medicine, we can guide our dr to help us with a better life! Don't settle until it's acceptable to you!

I'm on Sprycel and have same pain No one told me it was my back, although I do have back problems. When you have the pain try GAS-X and see if it helps.

He did tell me to follow up with a GI doc. I eat sunflower seeds quite often and have never had a problem. But, things change over night.

I've had abdominal issues with both Gleevac and Sprycel. I did follow up to have a CT scan done (normal) and with a GI doctor who did upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. Both procedures were pretty easy. They did (thankfully) sedate me and results showed some mild colitis/inflammation but nothing really to be concerned about.
Did your CT results show anything? If not then a GI visit would probably be good to follow up.
