My doctor has informed me that my iron is still not where it's supposed to be after a year on daily iron. He wants me to get an infusion on Monday.  Has anyone else has one? If so what does it feel like? Are there any risks? Does it make a difference for you energy level?

Hi Mayra, I had one pre-CML. The main feeling I had was boredom. I believe there is a newer transfusion that is much much quicker. They watched me quite closely for the first half hour in case there was a reaction, there wasn't. If you are currently anemic then you should expect to feel quite a bit better. If you are not anemic but only have low iron stores then the effect will not be as big, however it will stop you from being anemic.
