Quick look back - I was diagnosed over 5 years ago asymptomatic with a WBC of 13k. I was very fortunate to have a quick response to the G, and was PCRU within 5 months. For 5 years since diagnosis, have taken 400mg Gleevec daily, then 3 months ago lowered the dosage to 300mg daily without any change in test results. Now, I plan to reduce again to 200mg daily. I will continue my quarterly CBC's with semi-annual BCR/ABL tests.
I am wondering if anybody on here has ever reduced to 100mg daily. If so, would be interested to hear your story about the progress made in reducing your dosage. My primary interest in 100mg is the reducing long-term cumulative effects of taking a cytotoxic drug.
