Hello, I was DX with CML on Jan. 31st 2006 I tried a few different medications all of which worked well to put me in remission. I had to switch finally to Tasigna because i was having allergic reactions to the Gleevec and other drugs. CML test have come back negative for the last 5+ years. My oncologist said that some Dr.'s are trying to ween their patients off of the drug to see if they can stay negative on their PCR//BCR/ABL test. I have believed for a long time that the Tasigna is not good for your body but it is the lessor of the 2 evils, but yet i have went from 400mg twice a day to 400mg once every other day or maybe just 3 times a week( without my doctors knowledge) when he told me this, I decided i would tell him what dosage I have actually been taking for the last 2 years. My PCR//BCR/ABL test continue to be negative. Has anyone stopped this medication completely? What was your experience? I welcome any and all opinions. Thank you!
