I know I should be ,ore of an advocate for my own health but I'm not. My dr never informs me of my test results . I have to call constantly and wait for them to call me back. I was diagnosed in May 2011. I currently go to dr every 3 months. I am taking 300 mg gleevec. My sept 9 results for PCR were 0.096%. Nurse said best yet but didn't have available my previous result from June or April. She couldn't explain what my results meant just that they were good! Can anyone help me please?
Can anyone help me with my PCR results?

0.096% IS, is a good place to be, but getting the numbers from april/june would be very helpfull, as they could give more insight into your response over time.
If the nurse said they were the best results yet, then that is a good thing, and you are heading in the right direction, but you should definately try to get those other test results.
Also find out if they use the International Scale or not when doing the pcr tests.

If the PCR results are International Scale they represent Major Molecular Response (MMR) which is also a 3 log reduction. MMR is an important milestone and shows a deep response to drug treatment. Ask your Onc if this is MMR.
