Just the kind of information I am compiling.  Most nsaid's have the same drug interactions.  If ibuprofen interferes with bio-availabilty of imatinib then most likely so does aleve, and the many others in the same class.  There are several other drugs and foods that also interfere with imatinib.  Tylenol and grapefruit juice are contra-indicated while on imatinib therapy.

Ibuprofen and aleve etc. can also cause kidney damage with too much use.  I have CKD, and have not been able to take anything for years now.  I suffer with my aches and pains.  You have to be careful with anything, even too many vitamins can cause you more harm than good.

Be careful of anything you take.  It can fix one thing and cause another.  I have not had Tylenol or Grapefruit juice since I started Gleevec.

Some good information about NSAID`s and TKI`s there

I have Naproxen handy, as it doesnt seem to interfere with Gleevec.
