My 10 month PCR test result come in at 0.098%IS, just a tiny bit below the MMR.  This is a relief since three month ago the PCR showed a slight uptick.

I started Tasigna 300mg 2x per day on 4/2.  The PCR test at dx failed and no results were available.  Here is my PCR history to share.

Date                      PCR  IS

4/6/12                   73%

5/1/12                   10.4%

6/19/12                3.73%

8/7/12                   0.23%

10/22/12              0.33%

12/3/12                0.15%

1/22/13                0.098%

The first four month it dropped very fast followed by a slight uptick and then dropped slowly.  I guess this is a very typical response from what I learned in this forum.

In October when the PCR showed an uptick, my Onc was a little concerned and told me that if the response does not improve in the following three month, he would switch me to Sprycel.  Thanks god, it started to drop again.  The doc is happy about it and he want stay the course now.  I asked him whether I need a BMB at the one year date to make sure that everything is OK. He think it is not necessary.

Excellent.  Your Onc is right.

You need a mutation test

You may be reading his results in reverse order.  He is MMR and his most recent PCR was .1 log lower than the previous test result.

Why do you suggest mutation test?  My Onc said, given the test result and trend, he does not think BMB (including mutation test) is necessary.

Trey,

How do you calculate 1 log reduction?   The most two recent tests (7 week apart) are from .15 to .098.  It is like .18 log lower, right?

I corrected the typo.  The overall issue is that you are MMR and should not worry about anything.  You are doing very well.
