Hi all,

I had posted a few months ago about my disappointing 3 month test results on 400mg Gleevec.  I was going to wait to see the 6 month test results before I made any decisions about changing course.  I just got the 6 month results and I'm beyond pleased:

                 7/25/12     10/17/12     1/23/13

FISH          97%          71%          4%

PCR (IS)     145%          39.7%     5.7%

Log Reduction               0.56          1.4

I'm really glad the Gleevec has "kicked in" because I have no side effects (except for some minor bloating).  April can't come fast enough, and hopefully I will find out that I had a CCyR.

Tom

Diagnosed with CML in July 2012 (33 years old)

Hi:  I hope you continue to do well, and that the Gleevec keeps doing its job.  I have been on Gleevec since 2000, and have been PCRU for 10 years.  Congratulations on your great response.

Susan

Yay, Tom!  When I go to the doctor, my very favorite words are:  "It's working!!!"  It's a thrill every time!

Dx: Sudden severe anemia detected 07/2011, followed by WBC spike. CML Dx 02/2012.

Rx: 03/2012-Gleevec400.  Reduced 02/2013 to Gleevec300 due to side effects (low blood counts).

Response: PCR-Und within 7 mo. on G400. Maintained MMR4-MMR4.5 on G300. PCR-Und since 02/2016.
