Hi!

I have been on Tasigna for 10 months with absolutely no side effects worth talking about.  But now, the last month

i am having very small bumps, like pimples show up.  I would find one, once in a while and now i am finding 3 at a time!

they are like a very very small pimple.  if I wouldnt pick at them, they would never show.  Just wondering if anyone else

has had that problem?

I am going to my Onc tomorrow and will ask him, but just curious if anyone else has ran into this problem.

Thanks!

Kris

Ya well in my first couple of months I had large acne like bumps that sadly did most definitely show, mainly on my neck and a couple on my face

When I saw my onc I mentioned that I had these ugly looking things on me and she said "yeah I noticed that when you walked in".... and left it at that, which didn't improve my self esteem one bit. Fortunately (now at 3 months in) they have improved and mainly healed up now. They actually reminded me of things I got when on steroids for sinus infections.

I had these effects on and off during the year I was taking Tasigna.  The bumps on my arms did not itch much, but my legs often required anti-itch lotion.

Hi Kris,

I"ve been on Tasigna for a little over a year.  I had tons of skin issues at first with many side effects, now the skin issues are lots like you describe.  Lots of little places that won't seem to heal, and odd little bumps. I've recently gone on a reduced dose due to other side effects, but as I have, the skin issues are lessening.

Good luck!!!

Lori

Hi Kris,

I have been on Tasigna 2 1/2 yrs and yes I get those pimple like bumps.  At first they were on my face and now I get them occasionally on my scalp, maybe 3 at a time.  They are very painful and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to make them go away faster, just have to wait them out. And, as you said compared to the other TKI's the side effects with Tasigna are minimal.  My worst is high blood sugar, which I noticed somewhere is now a warning when prescribing.

Cam_kris,

I am also on Tasigna for about 10month.  I did not experience the shin problem you have.  But, I do feel that my skin is dry and a lot more wrinkle than before.

Oh boy do I ever agree about the aging Tasigna does.  I feel like I could take a hot bath in a vat of oil.  My skin is sooooo very dry and has aged 10 yrs.
