Saw urologist yesterday for results of last PSA, was expecting them to be bad given pelvic pain.   Numbers dropped drastically to normal level, 2.3!

No explanation why, the only real thing that has changed is that I stopped taking Gleevec.  The doctors say that has nothing to do with it.

I don't. Care, I'm just happy they went down.  He said based on normal levels, normal MRI, and normal physical exam, he is pretty certain there is no prostate cancer.  I feel such relief!

Thanks to all who supported me over the last 3-4 months as I went through this.  I appreciate it.

Yay! [humming The Beatles' "Good Day Sunshine"]

???

Be alert, but not overly concerned.

• Dx Oct. 22, 2008, WBC 459k, in ICU for 2 days + in hospital 1 week

• Leukapheresis for 1 week, to reduce WBC (wasn't given Hydroxyurea)

• Oct. 28, 2008: CML confirmed, start Gleevec 400mg

• Oct. 31, 2008: sent home when WBC reached 121k

• On/off, reduced dose Gleevec for 7 months

• April 2009: Started Sprycel 100mg

• Sept. 2009: PCRU 0.000

• Sept. 2011: after 2 years steady PCRU & taking Sprycel 100mg before bed, quit Sprycel (with permission)

• Currently: still steady PCRU, testing every 6 months 🤗

— Fatigue, hearing loss continue, alas, but I prefer to think it is all getting better!

Fantastic news Lucky.  As you are now in your Forties you'd better wait until the wobbly-legged feeling of relief wears off before you do the jump for joy - I'd hate for you to sprain something!

Seriously, I am delighted for you as it is just so horrible (and feels so unfair) when you get given what looks like anothet ticket for the cancer rollercoaster.

Congradulations Lucky,

That's a lot of weight off your shoulders. It's so hard for us not to panic, since we already have the cml, I try really hard not to think what next!

Less stress for the holidays!!!!!           Billie
