Please send your good thoughts and prayers to my friend, Shelly, in Denver.  She has had a setback in her struggle against post-transplant graft-vs-host disease.  She is not doing well and is back in the hospital with extrmely serious complications.  She had CLL, which morphed into Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Dear Marnie,

I have kept Shelley in my prayers since her transplant a few months ago. She must be one special strong lady, you have had a terrible year, but you have seen so many of your loved ones beat the odds. You are one special strong lady also, just remember the power of prayer love Billie

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.  My other friend, Kim, of the brain tumor, died very recently.  It has been a rough year for many people.

Hi Marnie

Deepest condolences on the loss of your friend.

The thing that is so depressing is that it just seems like it is always really GOOD people who have to battle this stuff.  I'm sure there are plenty of "loosers" and "bad guys" who go thru this too. . .but it just feels like everyone I know on here, or in my own life, who is battling cancer are amazing, awesome people.

I feel so badly for both Kim and Shelly's husbands.  I cannot imagine the pain of losing a life partner, and I certainly cannot imagine trying to find a new normal after.

Marnie, I seem to be saying this or writing this way too often these days.  I have no words of comfort, I am sorry for your loss.
