...before I can drop down to half dosage on Tasigna.

The PCR today will be my 3rd PCR test post-TKIs.  My first one at 6 months was something like 0.003, then a follow-up biopsy was PCRU.  6 months or so later we did the PCR (in the spring sometime) and it was 0.001 or 0.0001, which could have been a statistical anomaly.  So, if this one is good, and then the one after, I think my onc would be willing to let me try a half dosage.  I am pretty much looking forward to that more than I have in a long time...but I'm also trying to go one step at a time.  So, let's hope this is PCRU or still right on the edge!

Hi Taylor,

Good luck with your PCR test.

I asked my doctor if I could have a go at stopping my Gleevec as of 1st October next year, he is agreeable. But we also agreed that if the CML made a reappearance I would switch to Tasigna due to side effect issues.

It certainly doesn't hurt to ask about reducing your Tasigna - I would start to mention the idea to him if you get good results this time.
