What is the real reason not to split Sprycel tablets?

Mainly because they are available in 20mg, 50mg, 70mg and 80mg.  Isn't 20mg low enough that it does not need to be split?  Or maybe you don't get the 20mg tablets?  If not, try those.

I have some left over 100's mg and want to start back at 50 mg by splitting them and then go on my new regiment at 70 mg

One reason is that Sprycel lowers your platelets so much that you should not handle knives for cutting the pills.  Otherwise splitting is just a task like any other.  I'm sure there is roughly equal drug in both sides.
