October 2nd I stopped my Tasigna and it's taken this long for my rash to finally fade away. Prednisone has not been my friend and my eating binge has been legendary. But now the rash is just about all gone. Tuesday I start on Sprycel and I have mixed emotions about it. For one, I feel pretty good! Lately I have had shortness of breath and have always had night sweats but in general no problems. Honestly I think I'm slightly afraid since I've been on both Gleevec and Tasigna and know this might not be a last ditch effort but certainly is another turn of events. Also I'm not looking forward to side effects but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Woof

Why were you off Tasigna for your rash or blood counts?

I'm 3 days into Sprycel and so far so good.  Slight headache first day then nothing else so far.

Also, not last shot, bosutinib is now approved and ponatinib will be soon.

Good luck

Yes I had to switch due to the rash, my blood counts were all good but the rash was horrible and really didn't allow me to have a good quality of life.
