I got this report back from when I had the PCR test done this past August.

Result: Positive  for BCR/ABL1 Transcripts

BCR/ABL1 1 copy number 111

ABL1 copy number 1077546

Quantitive Result

Reference Interval Negative

%BCR/ABL1:ABL1: 0.103

%BCR/ABL1:ABLI (International Scale): 0.050

I only know from the last test my BCR/ABL was 1.54  This is improving isn't it

I started taking Tasigna in March and i AM ON 300MG a day, because of bone and muscle pain, My Hematologist was going to put me back on full dose after two weeks of half dose, but decided to keep me on half dose.  Anyone feel free to look this over.

Also I noticed that my Lymphocytes was 3.91 up from the 3.09 from June could you also tell me about this, since it is suppose to be in the 1.20 range to 3.40

This shows you have reached Major Molecular Response, a 3 log reduction.  This is a significant goal of TKI drug therapy for CML.  So very good news.

The lymphocytes are not all that high.  With your PCR result it is not likely to be significant.  Your body changes these levels on a daily basis to fight issues you don't even know you have.

If it were me, I would stay on half dose with those results.  Half dose may be plenty for you.

Really Trey, this is so good, I did not have the results back when I saw my Dr on the last of August. so I did not get to discuss the test results, I wish that I could take the lab in time to have when I go for my appointments. Thanks

By the way, are you sure the non-International Scale number is .103% and not .0103% ?

Your BCR/ABL1 divided by the ABL1 is 111 / 1077546 = .000103, converted to percentage is .000103 x 100 = .0103%   After that a conversion factor for that lab is used to convert to IS scale.

That would make more sense since the non-IS number is usually smaller than the IS number.

I just used your IS number for the 3 log reduction (less than .1% IS = 3 log reduction)
