Does anyone have a problem with their balance? I lose my balance all the time think I might need a cane for support. I am on 50mg of sprycel. I was diagnosed with cml 5 months ago

2 questions:
1) Have you told your doctor about this? I would contact both your oncologist & your family doctor asap to determine why this is happening.
2) Are you on blood pressure medications? My BP dropped significantly after I started taking Gleevec. My family doctor cut my dosage of BP meds in half, resulting in a reduction to edema & mild lightheadedness, not to mention normalizing the BP itself.
Dx: Sudden severe anemia detected 07/2011, followed by WBC spike. CML Dx 02/2012.
Rx: 03/2012-Gleevec400. Reduced 02/2013 to Gleevec300 due to side effects (low blood counts).
Response: PCR-Und within 7 mo. on G400. Maintained MMR4-MMR4.5 on G300. PCR-Und since 02/2016.

Loss of balance happened to me all the time since I was diagnosed. Since I have been off of Gleevec it hasn't happened again.

I have problems with balance also. I can remember it happening just before dx. It is a little worse now, sometimes even when I'm sitting I feel a little dizziness. I've been on 100 mg sprycel since Feb. 2012. I would not say It's so bad though that I would need a cane. I think it comes and goes.
