I would take Naproxen first, Ibuprofen (Advil) second.  Not any significant interaction.

My oncologist has said that as long as they are not taken long term, Naproxen and Ibuprofen are o.k.  I don't take them often, but don't worry when I use them occassionally.  I use Naproxen as a first choice.

Thank's Marnie I Check DRUGS Site again and i read that (that interfere with platelet function or coagulation may potentiate the risk of bleeding complications. Treatment with dasatinib is associated with severe thrombocytopenia) . So i understand that the major risk found in case of thrombocytopenia only

I take ibuprofen and naproxen, perhaps 3-4 times per week. I have had no negative impact of this. Ibuprofen works well on the joint pain I get from taking Sprycel.

Hey Trey.

How about with Gleevec? What would be your painkiller of choice?

I havent taken any painkillers since dx 5 months ago, but i guess the time will eventually come, when i will need to take something.
