How to find epidemiological studies? Why so many so young?

Hi All,

For a disease that is supposedly far more common in the over 50 crowd, we seem to get SO many newly diagnosed folks lately who are in their 20's.  I know this could just be that the younger patients are quicker to go to an online forum, but it sure seems like there are a lot of them lately.

My question is:  where are the stats published on how many cases there are of CML in a given year, and especially how that breaks out by age.

The SEER database is the leading source for such data, although I have found it to be a few years behind the curve.  Not sure you will come to any conclusions, but here you go:
