PCR Results after 3 months:

4/11: 93 (DX)

6/14: 17

7/26:  3

(Im pretty sure we use international scale here in Norway)

Does this look okay?

Been on Gleevec 400mg since day 1.

If im not mistaken, its at least 1log reduction? That should be okay right, it would seem the G is working well?

Hi Teddy,

Til the pros get to answer your question for real, my thought is that it sure does look good to me!

I would think that going from 93 to 9.3 would be a 1 log reduction, so getting to 3 would be at least a 1 1/2 reduction.

Congratulations, sure looks like good progress.

Lori

Teddy,

Looks like a pretty good response.  Congratulation!!

My response is very similar to yours, slightly quicker.   I was dx two weeks before you and been on Tasigna 600mg a day, with three week break and four week on half dose during May-June period of time.

Thanks.

I too thought it was somewhere around a 1.6 log reduction

Its such a relief to see the wonderful drugs working.

Thank you

Lets hope we keep it up!

Hope your blood counts are better after the drug breaks and half dose, as i read earlier that you had some low count issues.

Great News Mate!

My oncs expectation at 3 months is at least a 1 Log reduction. Looking at your diagnoses date, it is the same as mine and I to am taking Gleevecs. I have an appointment to go over results in a couple of weeks.

Teddy,

Yes, my plt went down big time (21,000) and the onc put me on three week break followed by four week half dose.  It came back up pretty close to normal.  My last PCR reading is 3.7%IS on 6/19.  I have since back to normal dose and will have another PCR test tomorrow.  Just like you, this time I get a little anxious and hope the reading continue to trending down.  Will post the result when I get it.

Very good progress.  You are on track for CCyR very soon if that continues.
