I just received my 12 month PCR results. They went up a little from last time. I'm not happy about it but since my Dr didn't call she must not be concerned about it.
PCR's
7-10-12 0.151
4-18-12 0.122
1-20-12 0.151
10-24-11 0.596
7-12-11 24.695

As someone who has had their PCR bounce around at the lower level, I can understand how you feel. Basically your last three PCR results have been the same. I would not consider that an increase. Although it does appear to be a plateau.
Which drug are you taking? What dosage?

I am taking 100mg Sprycel. I'm trying not to be too down about it but sometimes it's hard not to.

Hell yeah it is hard not to. Worst part is you have to wait another three months; that drives me crazy. When I get a good result, the next three months go decent, when I get a result that goes in the opposite direction it hangs out there just lingering in the air. Try your best not to let it get to you. There are two ways to look at it and I am not trying to be Mr. Optimistic. While it is true your numbers have not gone down more, they are not going up either, which is also good. An upward trend would be more troublesome, and to be clear your last result should not be seen as an increase, basically your last three tests are all the same. Do you know if your numbers are international scale or not? Have your asked your doctor what your log reduction is?

If you are concerned, why not repeat it in 4 weeks? Frank

Cleoclans - It does look like you have reached a plateau. I have read that strong anti-oxidants taken with Sprycel can reduce its effectiveness. Conversely - piperine (pepper) seems to increase Sprycel's action.
When are you taking your Sprycel? and with what other foods (or pills)?
Diagnosed 11 May 2011 (100% FiSH, 155% PCR)
with b2a2 BCR-ABL fusion transcript coding for the 210kDa BCR-ABL protein
Sprycel: 20 mg per day - taken at lights out with Quercetin and/or Magnesium Taurate
6-8 grams Curcumin C3 complex.
2015 PCR: < 0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)
2016 PCR: < 0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)
March 2017 PCR: 0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)
June 2017 PCR: "undetected"
September 2017 PCR: "undetected"

Scuba, I take my Sprycel at 9:30 pm. I do not take them with anything but water.
Frank, I'm not overly concerned more frustrated. I will play the wait and see game. Lots to keep me busy and my mind off it in the coming months!
Lucky, I have to drop a referral off to my hospital so will ask my Dr what my log reduction is and all.
