Hope you will join me is wishing a hearty "Happy Anniversary" to fellow CMLer Tamera Simonson!!! Exactly 20 years ago today, on May 20, 1992, she was told she had leukemia. She was later told it was CML and that she had just two years to live! Well....as she says with a chuckle.....she showed them!!!
Tamara was interviewed by Patient Power at the Living Well with CML Summit last year in Portland, Oregon. She talked about her treatment, and how she's doing today. An active volunteer, she spends time talking to newly diagnosed CML patients, encouraging them that there is life after diagnosis.
