with b2a2 BCR-ABL fusion transcript coding for the 210kDa BCR-ABL protein
Sprycel: 20 mg per day - taken at lights out with Quercetin and/or Magnesium Taurate
6-8 grams Curcumin C3 complex.
2015 PCR: < 0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)
2016 PCR: < 0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)
March 2017 PCR: 0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)
June 2017 PCR: "undetected"

Love to see the research and know that people are looking at it, but I always get a bit skeptical when I see them talk about leukemia in the aggregate. It seems to me that teh different subtypes of leukemia are quite different and if they did find something that killed "leukemia stem cells" I would be surprised if it killed all leukemia stem cells. Seems like it would apply to a particular sub-type more than likely. In this case they don't seem to draw a distinction and just talk about leukemia in general. Either way it is good the research continues, you never know what will lead to what.

I know just what you mean Lucky, but it has given me an idea. It would be easy enough to prove that heat kills leukaemic stem cells - we just stick some in a kettle and boil them for our 'proof of concept'. We then apply for funding for a phase 1 dose escalataion trial to see how well heat is tolerated by actual patiemts. We've already sent Bille to Florida and I'm happy to volunteer for the Caribbean. Anybody fancy Cancun? As long as we escalate the dose slowly enough we should be able to spin it out for quite a while before someone gets too sunburnt and we have to regretfully conclude that the treatment, whilst initially promising, was insufficiently tolerated to achieve a therapeutic dose level.

Dibs on Hawaii.
Be alert, but not overly concerned.
• Dx Oct. 22, 2008, WBC 459k, in ICU for 2 days + in hospital 1 week
• Leukapheresis for 1 week, to reduce WBC (wasn't given Hydroxyurea)
• Oct. 28, 2008: CML confirmed, start Gleevec 400mg
• Oct. 31, 2008: sent home when WBC reached 121k
• On/off, reduced dose Gleevec for 7 months
• April 2009: Started Sprycel 100mg
• Sept. 2009: PCRU 0.000
• Sept. 2011: after 2 years steady PCRU & taking Sprycel 100mg before bed, quit Sprycel (with permission)
• Currently: still steady PCRU, testing every 6 months 🤗
— Fatigue, hearing loss continue, alas, but I prefer to think it is all getting better!

Old bandwagon. What hasn't resveratrol been reported for as a potential cure? I think it is just researchers (likely grad students) looking for an excuse to drink. People are now looking for cures in compounds in beer, too.
