I follow this sight all the time and have received so much good information and encouragement.  Started taking Tasigna November 2010.  All seemed to be going okay, was PCRU in 12 months.  Last blood test one month ago showed  Glucose Serum of 113, couple of days ago it was 118.  Until these results, I had never had a reading of higher than mid 90s.  I'm 64 yrs old and am in good health.  Any information/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards

Donna

Did you eat before the blood tests? I had a couple of test show high blood sugar and then I realized I was going to blood draw eearly in morning and I had to wait unti lthey actually drew my blood before I ate my bagel.  If I ate first and then went in to draw my blood sugar would sky rocket.  Next blood draw get it in the early morning and don't eat anything before the test.

Thanks for your response.  Both tests were first thing in the morning.  I had not eaten but I had taken my first dose of Tasigna.  Wonder if that makes any difference in blood sugar level?

I've started Tasigna 6 months ago and my blood sugar levels were always in the normal ranges,

however the last two tests they have increased, my very last test was 99, still in the normal range but at the edge,

and I always do my blood work in the morning before eating, I also wonder if Tasigna can elevate blood sugar levels????

Increased blood sugar levels is listed as a common side effect. http://www.netdoctor...es/tasigna.html
