Because it was such a worry for me, thought I would post my latest results.  I am halfway through my 3rd week on 100 mg Sprycel, down from the 140 mg I had been taking since November.  As everyone stated, the 100 mg seems to be doing the job, platelets are still holding at 160,000 and neutrophil count is 4.6.  So far so good!  Neutrophil was 2.1 for weeks, so hopefully I am just continuing to level out.  Thanks everyone for continued support, advice, and listening to me worry.

Thanks everyone.  I am dragging my feet, unwilling to add another $50+ a month just for the privilege to speak.  Hell, I can do that all day long, except no one hears me but the dogs.  Sometimes, that is not a bad thing.

Hi Pammie,Judy,Janne,and everyone else!

Pam it;s about damn time,it sure did take you long enough. Every time I color my hair you grow horns, shed, get rashes,or  get millions of platelets. So I grow a few more grey hairs  and my wrinkle cream gives me wrinkles!

Seriously I am so very happy for you,you sure did get off to a bad start but it looks like things are starting to turn around for you. I'm feeling fine now, that hole in my cheek isn"t sore or inflamed or anything It's just there.

Yesterday Ron took me to Captiva that's where the rich and famous live and some movie stars have houses there too. I think a couple of those houses looked like the whitehouse. They have yachts 3 times bigger than my house, Why anybody would want a house that big is beyond me.

We ate at the Mucky Duck, it's a small place and always packed it's almost a tradition to eat there when you go to  Captiva. There are 2 more places in England. I had 3 margaritas they were gooood. When we were done Ron went out to the car and I stayed behind to buy some T-shirts.. When I was leaving I wished the hostess a Happy Mothers Day. She was about 19. There were about 15 people waiting in line they cracked up. I just looked at them and said I had 3 margaritas for lunch, I heard about 5 women say, "I want one of those".   Love Billie

Billie,

Don't forget to go back and wish her happy valentines day in a few months.  hehe  I am considering margarita's for this weekend.  I can sleep it off and blame it on the head/chest cold, perfect cover.  I LOVE Captiva Island, it is so beautiful and expensive.  I am sure one of the yachts is bigger than both our houses.  What would it be like to have so much money you forget you already have two yachts, so you buy another, just in case...... that's just filthy rich.  God bless them, that they can do!  You are right, the houses are huge and gorgeous, so much they are past the point of saying wow.  Glad you are feeling good and having some fun.  I am pretty sure I have been in that restaurant before, unfortunately my margaritas came 'before' the trip, so it could have been the Sea Side Dive and I wouldn't remember!
