I first want to thank you all for your posts!!   I am a reader, not much of a poster myself....   I was dx 2/5/11, reached CHR in 5 mos, CCyr in 6 mos and just had a Quant BCR/ABL test done.   I haven't talked with my Dr yet, but just rec'd email from her - "Wanted to let you know your quantitative pcr for BCR/ABL did not detect any transcripts!!!! This is excellent!"   I have no idea what I should be even asking the Dr.   I go in and she tells me it all looks good, and I thank God and just go on with my life.  I would like to compare my results on something, but maybe should just be happy with the news that it looks good.   Any comments are greatly appreciated.   Thank you all, God bless and wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Lori

A negative PCR in 9 months is as good as it gets.  There is nothing to ask your Onc.  Be very merry....and thankful.

LoriM,  Congrad.  What a great Christmas Present!  Merry Christmas!

Enjoy and give yourself a break.  When we hear good news like that we usually do not worry until the next lab, so enjoy it!

Congratulations Lori, PCRU in 9 months is WAY beyond happy little dance time. More like running down the street screaming territory, but a happy little dance is a good place to start!

Enjoy your Christmas Holidays and just keep Thanking God for reaching PCRU so quickly.  You could not have gotten a better present than that for Christmas.  You should definitely be doing the Happy Dance.

Congrats Lori!!!  In the sprint to achieve PCRU I gave you a head start (5/22/11) and was wondering what TKI you're taking?

I'm also on 400 Gleevec. First dose on June 8. Had my 6-month BMB today and will get the results next Monday.   My blood counts have all been in the normal range for the last 3 months and other than Thursday night (see "What a Wild Night!") things have been pretty uneventful.

Best wishes,

Steve
