Cancer not Crazy.

4 years down the road and I have to embrace the crazy somedays to deal with the cancer.

laughter is not only possible when living with both it is neccesary for me!

I agree.  I too have come to learn and understand the code and know the things that people say are meant to be a comfort.

The clarity the diagnosis brings to the fragile nature of life itself and the ability to truly focus on what's important.   Finding humor in my phone alerts at 7 every evening, when the family says in unison, "Dad, take your Gleevec!"

Thanks for the chat everyone.  I had a "bad" day on the couch with side effects and have been feeling quite alone/misunderstood today.  I decided to check in here for some support and here you all are!  Now I am in an understanding crowd and it makes today a little easier.  There are some things that non-CMLers just cannot "get" even though they love us dearly. 

I want to say that I am grateful for many things that this illness has blessed me with, but mostly just being able to live life today to the fullest and without regrets.  The realizations that come with cancer are numerous for me.  I really don't sweat the small stuff anymore.
